The first decision to make is which medium would work best i.e. oils, watercolour or pen and ink.
You may see that different subjects lend themselves to certain treatments; for example, motorcycles work well with pen and ink. This medium is also excellent for reproducing artwork in the form of greetings cards, postcards, notelets or even graphics for pubs and restaurants.
For portraiture I work mainly in oils but am happy to discuss any other requests you may have.
I usually work from a combination of preparatory sketches and photographs though sketching is obviously dependant on my proximity to the subject! However, a good selection of clear photographs can usually give me the information I need.
